On August 31, 2026, FOURDIGIT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Arts at Chulalongkorn University to strengthen collaboration in service design education. The signing ceremony was held at the Center for Digital Humanities within the Faculty of Arts at Chulalongkorn University.

Since 2024, FOURDIGIT has been working with universities and educational institutions across Southeast Asia, including Thailand, to develop the next generation of talent through service design education.

FOURDIGIT and the Faculty of Arts at Chulalongkorn University have conducted two Service Design Bootcamps for students in 2025 and 2026. Building on these ongoing initiatives, the two parties entered into the MOU to further expand their collaboration in service design education.

The second Service Design Bootcamp, held in 2026, was approved as a sponsored course by the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS). The four-day program was held on August 15, 16, 22, and 23, with 41 students from the Faculty of Arts participating.

Throughout the program, students gained hands-on experience with the fundamental service design process: observing and listening to people, identifying questions, understanding their needs, and using these insights to envision better services.

Under the MOU, FOURDIGIT and the Faculty of Arts at Chulalongkorn University will jointly plan and implement training programs, workshops, and other initiatives aimed at strengthening service design skills among students, faculty members, and other relevant stakeholders.

The partnership will also provide students with opportunities to gain practical experience through internships, including hands-on involvement in training programs, facilitation, and event management.

In addition, the two parties will share knowledge, tools, methodologies, best practices, and research findings, with the aim of further enriching joint educational and research activities.

Through these initiatives, FOURDIGIT and Chulalongkorn University will build a strong and sustainable network for service design, creating further opportunities for growth and exchange both in Thailand and internationally.

As Southeast Asia’s digital economy continues to grow, there is an increasing need for talent capable of envisioning and designing services across the boundaries of business, technology, and design. At the same time, opportunities to learn and practice service design in an educational setting remain limited.

To bring the knowledge and expertise cultivated through its service design practice back into education and talent development, FOURDIGIT has been building partnerships with universities and educational institutions across Southeast Asia since 2024.

With the signing of this MOU with Chulalongkorn University, the number of FOURDIGIT’s partner universities and educational institutions has reached 10 as of September 2026.

The cumulative number of participants in FOURDIGIT’s service design education programs in Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan has also reached 520.

Moving forward, FOURDIGIT will continue to collaborate with universities and educational institutions to expand opportunities for more students and young professionals to learn and practice service design.
