FOURDIGIT exhibited at DigiTech ASEAN 2025 Thailand, held from November 19 to November 21, 2025, at the IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Centre in Bangkok, Thailand. During the event, Pasut Piyapasut, Director of FOURDIGIT Thailand, delivered a presentation in the Technology Presentation session.

 

DigiTech ASEAN 2025 Thailand is an international event hosted by Thailand’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Society under the theme “Digital Solutions for Business.” The exhibition covered key areas including business software, cybersecurity, e-commerce and digital marketing, data and cloud, and smart solutions and IoT.

 

On November 19, Pasut Piyapasut took to the stage in the Technology Presentation session with a talk entitled:

“Why Technology-Driven Innovation Fails: The Case for Problem-First Design.”

 

In this session, he spoke on the importance of starting with real problems rather than technology itself. By reflecting on approximately 60 years of technological progress — including the mouse, touchscreen, video calling, and AI — he explored why products developed with a technology-first mindset often fail to become embedded in everyday life. He shared the perspective that truly valuable innovation consistently emerges from addressing genuine human problems.

 

He also introduced the cases of GPT-3 and ChatGPT, emphasizing that successful services require not only advanced technology, but also experience design that is empathetic to users’ contexts and emotions. He highlighted that while algorithms can be easily replicated, service design grounded in deep human understanding is what enables products and services to be chosen and sustained over time.

FOURDIGIT will continue to promote the use of design as a business solution in Thailand and to foster practical service design talent.
